This role is responsible for overseeing daily service delivery, supervising Direct Support Professionals, and ensuring that each resident receives high-quality, individualized support in alignment with their goals and regulatory standards.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise, coach, and support DSP staff to maintain a positive, professional team culture
• Lead staff communication, meetings, and performance management
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of team members
• Ensure consistent, high-quality implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
• Monitor documentation, medication management practices, and daily service delivery
• Support behavior plans and resident engagement to enhance quality of life
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and continuity of care
• Coordinate staffing adjustments, call-outs, and overtime as needed
• Support both residential and day programming alignment
• Ensure services meet DBHDS regulations and agency standards
• Monitor staff training compliance and documentation accuracy
• Support inspections, safety checks, and overall program quality
• Maintain clear communication with leadership, staff, families, and partners
• Address concerns proactively and support a solutions-focused environment

• Associate’s degree or higher (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred)

We are seeking a friendly and organized Executive Liaison to join our team to serve as a vital connector between leadership and internal teams, residents, external partners and visitors. This position is for Saturdays and Sundays from 9-5pm.

This role requires administrative, organizational, and communication support for Vanguard Landing's leadership team, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent experiences for families, partners, visitors and our residents! Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will drive the success of Vanguard Landing and foster positive relationships both inside and outside the company. Self-starter, great people skills, and office support experience is important!

Vanguard Landing is a brand-new community for adults with intellectual disabilities here in Virginia Beach! And our Executive Liaison team is an integral part of our team here on campus!

What you'll do: 

• Greet and welcome all guests, families, community partners with professionalism and warmth; Remain at front desk to monitor front door
• Answer the official Vanguard Landing phone and respond to inquiries, providing accurate information or directing calls to the appropriate staff; 
• Support Directors and Mangers when asked by doing administrative tasks
• Assist the Executive Director with coordinating tours, event preparations and on-campus hospitality as required
• Participate (when asked) in staff meetings and trainings to ensure consistency of service and communication
• Collect mail in box provided when delivered and place in Mailroom for residents to sort into the mailboxes and let Directors know if packages arrive
• Draft letters and make phone calls for the Directors as requested
• Any other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director
• Read, understand and agree to adhere to VGL's policy and procedure manual

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma required; some college preferred
• Prior administrative or Executive Assistant experiences strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and multi-tasking skills
• Reliable transportation
• Weekend availability- shared schedule with other Executive Liaison.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol grounds, inspect equipment/buildings, and ensure secure access
• Respond to incidents and file reports
• Assist residents and staff during emergencies or events
• Support safety education and drills
• Maintain a visible, friendly and helpful presence

Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience in residential/community security
• High school diploma or equivalent
• TB test, physical and background clearance required
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting individuals with dignity

This shift would be either Sunday - Wednesday from 3pm-11pm or Thursday-Saturday 3pm-11pm

What You'll Do:

• Assist residents and day participants with daily routines, personal care and hygiene. Redirect residents if not properly cleaned and dressed daily.
• Support residents with their individualized Service Plans (ISP's) and document progress.
• Help with following the citizens' schedules regarding transportation, recreational activities, appointments, and errands.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications.
• Ensure clean, safe, and welcoming living environments.
• Respond to crisis situations and follow emergency protocols when needed.
• Above all else, participate in EXCELLENT, EMPOWERING and RESPECTFUL interactions for all residents and fellow employees. Vanguard Landing has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to distractions form cell phone use, neglect, dishonesty, and overall view of our precious Vanguard Landing citizens.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of experience in caregiving or completion of relevant certification
• Ability to lift and assist individuals using proper body mechanics, if needed.
